Emergency Evacuation Drill

A well rehearsed and practiced evacuation drill can save lives. Our practical evacuation drill is designed to test your response to a critical incident.

ComSafe can assist organisations meet their requirements to complete and record at least one emergency evacuation drill every 12 months in accordance with Australian Standards 3745-2010, Planning for emergencies in facilities and AS 4083-2010, Planning for emergencies in Health Care facilities.

An evacuation checklist will be provided at the conclusion of the evacuation drill for compliance purposes.

Overview

The purpose of conducting an emergency evacuation training drill is to assist personnel to know their roles and responsibilities in an emergency situation in accordance with the workplace plans and procedures, and to test the workforce response to an emergency.

  • Workplace emergency response plan and procedure familiarisation
  • Identify required roles of workplace personnel
  • Discuss outcomes of simulated evacuation
  • Provides a comprehensive report that critiques the evacuation drill against outcomes and suggests improvements to the plan and procedures

COURSE DEVELOPMENT
This course was developed by Fire and Rescue NSW uniformed officers who have extensive operational experience and hold qualifications in Training and Assessment.
